Jasper Ribbers:
Get ready, champions of the world. The World Cup of soccer is one of the biggest events in the world. They’re expecting up to six million people visiting the host cities, and obviously those people will need a place to stay.

You could probably make the same amount of money as you might be making in a full year if you put in the right strategy. I think it’s one of the biggest opportunities of the decade for your short-term rental units if you’re in any of these cities.

Welcome to Get Paid For Your Pad, the definitive show on Airbnb hosting, featuring the best advice on how to maximize profits from your Airbnb listings, as well as real-life experiences from hosts all over the world.

Welcome back to another episode of Get Paid For Your Pad. This is an episode of Ruff Up, where we talk about revenue management and share insights into our strategies and how we’re maximizing revenue for over two thousand listings all across the world.

Today, we’re going to talk about a topic that might sound surprising: soccer.
Yes, you heard that right. We’re going to talk about soccer. And you might wonder, why are we talking about soccer? This is not a sports podcast.

The reason is that the World Cup is taking place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada in June and July 2026. This is one of the biggest events in the world, and they’re expecting up to six million people visiting the cities where the games will be held.

And obviously, those people will need a place to stay. If you are in one of the cities where the World Cup will be taking place, you should start raising your prices now, because soon enough people are going to start booking and you’ll be able to get a much higher ADR than you normally get.

This is a huge opportunity to maximize revenue. Events like this don’t happen often, and if you plan ahead, the upside can be massive.

In this podcast, I’m going to give you the most important information. We’ll probably do several more episodes on this topic because it’s such a big opportunity for hosts everywhere.

You could make the amount of money in June and July itself that you usually make in an entire year if you put in the right strategy.
